Our Finances

As a supporter of our organization, Ivorian Hope seeks to make as much information available to you to ensure that your funds are making the impact our communities seek. Ivorian Hope Charity currently does not use ANY funds to pay personnel. All employees of Ivorian Hope Charity are unpaid volunteers who donate their time. As such, 80% of all funds go towards direct program costs such as our micro-credit program, scholarship program, volunteer abroad program, and housing rehabilitation. Approximately 20% of costs go towards administrative and fund-raising activities to support programs and promote the mission of the organization through online-giving campaigns, mailings, events, etc.

Estimated Budget for 2012

Programs 90%

Fundraising & Marketing 6.1%

Administrative 3.9%

Ivorian Hope Charity received Federal exemption as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code on September 28, 2007. Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the code. Ivorian Hope Charity is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers, or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2552 of the code. For a copy of our Letter of Determination or our Tax Identification number, please e-mail Pren-Tsilya Boa at Pboa@IvorianHope.org.

Ivorian Hope files financial records annually through 990-N forms with the IRS. Ivorian Hope makes the most recent 990-N forms available to the public. Annual gross receipts are normally less than $25,000, so the organization files annual Exempt Organization Fund-Raising Notices with the Charities and Legal Services Division of the State of Maryland.
