Who We Are

Ivorian Hope Charity was founded in 2003 after a civil war occured in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) West Africa. Being an Ivorian residing in America with family members still in the Ivory Coast, Christine Hall was compelled to start the organization. When the civil war occurred in 2000, She began sending food, medicine and money to her family in order to help them in any way she could. After realizing that alone, she could neither save her entire family nor the entire country of Ivory Coast it was at this time that her eyes opened to the many economic, political, and social problems existing in African countries hindering people from advancement. Thus Ivorian Hope Charitable organization was founded!

We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization registered in the state of Maryland  and dedicated to aiding in the socio-economic development of Cote d’Ivoire and the Ivorian diaspora living in America.

President’s Message:

Thank you for visiting Ivorian Hope and supporting our organization. We are so grateful that the war has now subsided in Cote D’Ivoire and that rebel forces have ceased raiding villages. As Cote D’Ivoire begins its transition towards recovery and reconstruction, Ivorian Hope plans to move accordingly to adapt to the changes of the country and the needs of the communities we serve.

This year, we are focusing on strengthening relationships with local non-profit organizations and companies. We intend to increase the awareness of Ivorian issues and the effects it has on Americans as well as American issues that affect the global community. We will make Ivorian Hope a strong foundation of the local community as well as a a strong international force.

We hope to implement the Hope Loans micro-credit program  in rural villages and expand our scholarships to the college level and broaden our fund-raising base. With your support, all of this and more is possible. We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Christine Hall

President and Executive Director
